Pineapple Punch Pincushion

This pincushion is just simply too cute and very easy to make.  I found the pattern in the Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting January/February 2012 issue. The magazine has several pincushion patterns and I think you can still order past issues on their web site.

I’ve made several of these Pineapple Punch Pincushions for my roomies at the JSS quilt retreat but never got a picture.  But I made another for hubby’s cousin up in Arkansas and here it is:

It is paper pieced and rather than trace the pattern, I scanned it and then printed it on Carol Doak Foundation Paper. I even managed not to cut off the bunny’s head (on the second try).

Oh, speaking of Carol Doak – she has a new Mystery Block of the Month which started yesterday!  You can check it out on her Carol Doak Yahoo Group Web Site.  I’ve done two Carol Doak mystery quilts and have been thrilled with the results every time.  Of course, I have to do this one too!  Just need to figure out my fabric…

Have a great week, y’all!
