A Needle Case for Susan

My stitching friend Susan has a birthday coming up and we had a bit of a celebration yesterday – including tiny yummy pink cupcakes from McKinley’s Bakery in Fort Worth and birthday presents!

I decided a couple of days ago that I wanted to make Susan a quilted needle case for her birthday.  First thing I did was google “quilted needle case” and immediately came across this great pattern on Sew She Sews blog.  Easy squeezy!  The hardest part was deciding which fabric to use!  So here is Susan’s new needle case:

She claims she just LOVES sunflowers – so my fabric was a good choice.  What I really like is the pockets on the inside!

Lots of room to store scissors and other tools – like the girlie tweezers that were the party favors!

Have a wonderful birthday, Susan!!!

  1. I do love my needle case, and YOU are the best, Barbara! What a thoughtful AND pretty gift. I was serious about loving sunflowers (they make me happy!), but the best part might be the size of this case–most are way smaller. I can put one of my cats in this one, lol!! And the cupcakes…everybody should go check out the strawberry cupakes at McKinley Bakery…mmmmmmmm!! Much love! (to you, not just the cupcakes, haha!) 🙂
