TVQG Puts on the BEST Quilt Show EVER!!!

The Trinity Valley Quilters’ Guild 2012 quilt show was this past weekend and it was awesome!  We had some of the most amazing, inspiring, beautiful quilts!  I was busy busy busy working the cookbook sales table with these lovely ladies:

I was so busy I sadly did not get around to photographing all the quilts that I wanted to!  I did get a picture of the Best of Show – Baltimore Snowflakes (maker Sunisa Cote, quilter Dawn Smith):

Isn’t it pretty?  Makes me want to work on my applique a lot more!

Of course, I did take some time to photograph my quilts.  I had four quilts in the show and I was lucky enough to win two ribbons!  I was one of the Memory Challenge winners with this little quilt made from my mother’s cross-stitched tablecloth.  It is called Something on the Table Begins With…

And I got an Honorable Mention in the Block of the Month/Kits category for Something to Crow About:

I also put my Civil War Sampler (from last year’s Barbara Brackman Civil War Block on the Week) in the show:

And a quilt I made as a housewarming gift for my brother and his wife called Back Home in Texas to Stay:

It was finished just in time!  They moved into their new home yesterday.  Welcome home, Jeff and Jamy!

It was really a wonderful quilt show and I was so happy to be a part of it.  The Trinity Valley Quilters’ Guild is a great guild and I hope that many of you also belong to a guild.  The sense of community shared by the ladies (and gentlemen) in our guild is amazing!  As the great Sally Brown, the quilt show chair, says “Our Guild ROCKS!”
