Grandmother’s Choice – Week 13

We are already up to week 13 of Barbara Brackman’s Grandmother’s Choice Block of the Week!  This week the block commemorates Universal Suffrage with a block called Everybody’s Favorite.  I know it’s a favorite of mine – it was relatively easy (compared to last week!) and there were so many possibilities.  Here is my rendition:

I love the squirrel and owl in the background fabric!  You must check out the Grandmother’s Choice Flikr site so see all the other interpretations of this block.

We are having Indian Summer here in North Texas with temperatures in the 70’s!  Not quite ready to get out the Christmas sweaters when we are in shorts and flip flops!  But the chilly weather will come, so we might as well enjoy the balmy temps while we can.  Have a great week, y’all!

  1. It always amazes me that the fabric choices can make the blocks so unique. The contrasts of light and dark emphasize different areas of the block.
Some have the light fabrics coming forward and some have the lights appearing as background.
It’s no wonder that I love fabric so much!
