Angels and Demons Join Our August Bee Day

The JSS August Bee Day was held at Pam’s house – no, not her Alaska house (wouldn’t that have been fun!), but her Texas house – which is now occupied by our hostess with the most-est – Dede and co-hosted by Patti.  Thanks to all!

We were greeted by Dede and the two most adorable kittens ever – Angel and Demon.  Angel was pretty shy, but not Demon. He decided that Sally would be petting him, not stitching for most of the day:

Sally-with-catSo as Nancy and Judy stitch away in the background, Sally played with Demon (that sounds kind of scary, huh?).  Demon eventually found a place in her bag:

Cat-in-a-bagAs always, show and tell was awesome!  These ladies are so talented!  LaNelle started us off with her Judy Niemeyer masterpiece:

Barb shared some of her new Inklingo blocks.  Barb has already blogged about this new project – so be sure to check our her Just Sayin’ Sew blog.  But here’s a few pics from our bee show and tell:

Cindy has a wool Christmas project she’s working on:

Suz has this pretty hand dyed quilt almost all ready for the quilt show – a little binding to go:

Peggy’s show and tell was a sling and a happy smile:

Peggy's-show-and-tellWe are all glad to know that she’s well on the road to recovery!

Judy has been very productive and brought some gorgeous quilts to show.  How about this pretty star quilt:

Sally's-Lone-Star-ChristmasI’ve mentioned the quilt show several times – that is the Trinity Valley Quilters’ Guild show and it will be held September 19th and 20th at the Amon Carter Exhibit Hall in the Will Rogers Complex in Fort Worth, Texas.  If you live anywhere in North Texas, you should hop in the car and come to the show – it will be great!!!

Bee day continued with a super fun Facetime session with Pam up in Alaska!  We got a tour of the house and the beautiful view out her door! That was followed by more stitching, more eating, more playing with the kitties and lots of love and laughter.  I love Bee Day!
