I’ve been stitching on a little bit of this and a little bit of that this week. A few applique blocks, a few Just Takes 2 blocks and a few stars for Stars in a Time Warp.
I’ve actually been working on this applique project for about 6 months. It is called Spring Blooms. This is what the finished quilt will look like (with different fabric).
I’ve also gotten back into the Just Takes 2 project, completing blocks 60, 61, 62 and 63. Here is block 60. It is called Goose in the Pond:
Also over the last few weeks I’ve added to my collection of stars for Barbara Brackman’s Stars in a Time Warp. Each Wednesday, she posts a blog which explores a fabric color or theme and we all play along by making a 6 inch star block from our stash based on her blog.
Week 20 – the fabric theme is Eccentric Prints – described as “fine geometric figures with jagged or wavy distortions.” This was my version:
Week 23 – Blotch Ground Chintz. The White Ground Chintz has a white background but the Blotch Ground Chintz has a darker background. The white lines around the floral print give it the distinguishing ”blotch” characteristic. The star fabric here is the closest I could find in my stash. (For JSS’ers reading this… this came from Sue O’K’s stash… 🙂 )
Take care, y’all!
