Spectacular Quilts from the Trinity Valley Quilter’s Guild Show

Last week I promised to share some photos of some of the spectacular quilts from seen at the Trinity Valley Quilter’s Guild Show.

This was the Best of Show.   It is called Blue Birds for Conway and it made and quilted by Reta Lawrence.

Here is a close up of the center – see the quilted birds, isn’t that amazing?!

This one below is called Glacier Star. It was made by Gayle Cochran and quilted by Donna Akins.  It won first place in the Medium Pieced/Machine Quilted category:

This one took second place in the same category.  It is called Anesthesia.  It was made by Janet Smith and quilted by Linda Bucknet.

An honorable mention in the same category -this was stitched by my friend Lynda Hansard and quilted by Susan Corbett – it is called Kaffe Amish:

Below is the first place winner in the Mixed Techniques category.  It was pieced and quilted by Pat Burnham and is called Rio Festivale:

This is New York Beauty Variation – it is pieced and quilted by Alice Anderson.  It won first place in the Large Pieced, Hand Quilted category:

Another hand quilted winner – this one is appropriately called Shade.  It was pieced and quilted by Barbara Watson:

And here is another beauty called My Baltimore Album – pieced by Peggy Simpson and quilted by Dawn Smith.  It took second place in the Large Applique, Machine Quilted category:

It was a wonderful show and so inspiring to see so many simply gorgeous quilts.
