This is week 49 of Barbara Brackman’s Civil War Block of the Week commemorating the sesquicentennial of the Civil War.  The block this week is called Yankee Puzzle.  As you can see, I’ve been getting in the Christmas spirit!

My stash of Neesha fabric that I’m using for this project is dwindling but I think I will make it.  May need to get creative in these last few weeks!  Be sure to check out the Civil War Flickr site where other Barbara Brackman fans and devotees share their renditions of the blocks each week.

Here in North Texas the weather outside is frightful!  It is terribly dreary but we are getting RAIN which we need so badly.  There is a “silver lining” in those clouds.  This gives me a great chance to get out all those Christmas quilts and photograph them for a future blog. Stayed tuned!
