Another One Bites the Dust

I finished the border, the quilting, the binding and the label on the Mystery Quilt!  Yahoo!

The quilt now has a new name since it is no longer a mystery: Black and Blue Kaleidoscope.  It is ready to wrap and give to _____ (I won’t say as he or she might read the blog and know what they are getting!).

The quilt was a paper piecing project presented by Carol Doak for her Yahoo Group.  It was lots of fun!  I completed the paper pieced top at the quilt retreat in October, but then had to ponder how I wanted to finish it.  I finally decided to add the inside purple border and then the black.  I machine quilted it – mostly stitch in the ditch although those ditches were pretty chunky at places where many, many points converged!

I have completely finished all the quilty gift projects I want to give for Christmas!  Now it’s on to wrapping, more baking and maybe a bit of work on Quiltville’s Orca Bay Mystery Quilt too!
