An Orca Bay Christmas Message

Quiltville’s Orca Bay Mystery Quilt Part 6 was released a day early on Thursday morning!  This part relies on the 224 hour glass pieces from Part 1.  Well, I had only done 77 of them, so Friday I spent some time making 58 more – I’m up to 135. And I also cut the black, neutral and red squares needed for Part 6:

So I was ready to at least make some of the Part 6 blocks.  I didn’t get far but I like how they look!

Next week it will be Orca Bay Mystery catchup week!

Merry Christmas, y’all!

  1. Just discovered your blog and like your projects. I too am doing Barbara Brackman’s blocks and Orca Bay. After doing Part6 of Orca Bay I’m finding the blocks (especially the darker ones) they lack definition on the stars. Someone suggested to make the corners all the same colour in each block.
