It’s a “lovely” day for Valentine’s here in North Texas. After a romantically foggy morning, the sun is shining and my sweetheart is out in the garden planting potatoes. He surprised me this morning with these beautiful roses:
Above is a quick little table runner I made last year. We had a strip exchange at Trinity Valley Quilter’s Guild and one month was all red and white strips. The fuzzy red heart has a bit of red wax from a candle – but it makes it look like a “bleeding heart”.
Here is a Valentine wall hanging I made several years ago. Hard to tell from the picture but there is white eyelet lace which sticks out all around the heart. When I quilted it, I added extra batting to the heart for a puffy “trapunto” look.
So my kitchen looks very “Valentiny“!
