It’s a “What’s on your bed?” Party!

Bonnie Hunter at Quiltville is having a “What’s on your bed?” linky party!  Bonnie is spring cleaning and changing out her quilts out as she changes the sheets.  What a great idea!  Quilt bloggers from all over are participating in the party by showing off what they have on their beds via links at the bottom of Bonnie’s post.  Be sure to check it out!

Here is what I have on the guest room bed.  I love this quilt!  It is called “Rose Basket Quilt” and is my very favorite!

The day bed in the office has a little quilt that I made from a block of the month mystery quilt project through my favorite local quilt shop – Cabbage Rose in Fort Worth.  It is loaded with Kaffe Fassett fabrics and is bright and fun!  The name of the quilt is “Rest in Pieces – RIP” because I really didn’t like the way the original setting and borders looked so I spent a huge amount of time ripping them out and setting it as you see below.

The quilt below is in the “baby room” – where we have a small bed and a crib for the grandchildren.  It is a bright and cheery blue and yellow quilt.

My Civil War quilt will go on our king size bed when I finish it.  I’m still contemplating borders but should have it off to the long arm quilter within a week or so. 🙂  I’ll be sure to post pictures when its done!

Have a wonderful week, y’all!

  1. I love shopping at the Cabbage Rose!!! Always nice to find a fellow Lone Star dweller online! Your quilts are magnificent, and I’m quite envious of your Civil War undertaking. I’ll have to check back to see the finished project!

  2. Love your quilts, especially the Rose Basket! I took a peek at your Just Takes 2 blocks too. They look great! I’m making them in green and white, but am falling behind. Paper piecing is a trial. I just can’t get comfortable with it and I rip out nearly every seam at least once. But, I’m going to keep on trying. Thanks for sharing your photos.

  3. I simply adore “Rose Baskets” … very much my type of quilt! Beautiful! “Rest in Pieces” is very bright and cheerful! I don’t usually like Kaffe too much (maybe I’m just too old … oops, I mean traditional LOL), but this one is beautiful … and I especially love the border!
